FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If it's your first time ordering, it might all seem a bit confusing.

Generally we are asked the same few questions most of the time, such as:

How many designs can I have with my order?
I'm stuck with my artwork, can you help?
How long will my order take?
I'm confused by how I pay and order, what do I do?
Can I use different colours/images/photos in my design?

To find the answers to these just click our faq (frequently asked questions) page. You'll also find the link at the top of all the pages.

Green, blue and red circles should not be in the design you send.

FILE FORMATS, RESOLUTION ETC
FILE FORMATS:
I accept artwork as PSD, JPG, GIF, TIFF, BMP.

JPEGS:
If you're saving files as JPEGS set the quality to 12 and Maximum, otherwise you'll get a fuzzy looking badge.

RESOLUTION:
Please make your files 300 dpi (dots per inch).

If you're using Photoshop you use this menu:
Image > Image Size drop down menu across the top of the screen.

Anything less than 300 dpi, such as web images, can look okay on screen but may look fuzzy when they're printed out.

If you have any problems you can email me at info@badgesaplenty.com with any questions.

I'VE DONE ALL THAT, HOW DO I PAY?
You can now pay with the secure payment buttons on the prices page or on these pages:

1) Badges
2) Keyrings, mirrors, earrings & magnets
3) Fabric badges

Or send payment by post

That's everything you need to know and do but in case you need some more artwork guidance, there's more information and examples below.

What are the blue, red and green circles for?
Blue line: this is to show where your logo/text/main image should go inside.

Red line: this is the edge of the front of the badge.

Green line: is where we'll cut your design. The bit between the red and green line curves round the back of the badge once it's made.

sample badge with guide linesOn the left is an example of how that works:

1) The text is within the blue line.

2) The background yellow colour goes all the way to the green line.

The yellow colour could also be a background image/pattern.

3) The red line is just to show you where the edge of the front of the badge is.

The text doesn't go all the way to the red line/front of the badge because you need to leave a bit of space to allow for the curve of the badge.

Green, blue and red lines should not be in the design you send.
